A Piece of History in Perenjori

Patty King tells us about her favourite place in the Shire; Perenjori’s Pioneer Museum.

Take a step back in time with a visit to Perenjori’s Visitor Centre and Pioneer Museum.

Housed in a heritage building that was originally the local bank, the museum showcases interesting local artifacts dating back over 100 years.

Walk around and take a look at the historical items on display, get a sense of how early settlers used to live and how the agricultural industry got its beginnings in the area.

Patty King, Secretary of the Perenjori Tourist and Museum Committee is passionate about the museum, and says it brings back any memories for lots of people.

“Next time you visit the Mid West, call into Perenjori, check out our wonderful Pioneer Museum with lots of history, and learn a little bit about the past” says Patty.

The Perenjori Pioneer Museum is open during Wildflower season (July to October) from 9am-5pm. Find out more on the website: visitperenjori.com.au
