Start a Bookclub by Visiting a Library in WA

Bookclubs are great for making friends and discovering new books. City of Rockingham Deputy Mayor Deb Hamblin talks about starting a bookclub and her book recommendations.

Hi I'm Deb Hamblin. I'm the  Mayor of the City of Rockingham and I'm here to tell you how to set up your very own community book club.

A friend of mine was going through a really hard time and we decided as a community to form our own book club.

So the City of Rockingham Council Libraries provide fabulous groups of books for our book club so every month we come and pick a new topic and a new title. You need to have friends or maybe not friends because you make friends in a book club.

The only other thing we do is we get together at each other's houses and we might have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. That's all you need.

So to start your own book club, get a group of friends together and go and talk to the friendly staff at your local city library.

So for more information just google book clubs. I'm sure there's lots of exciting topics out there.
So if you're interested in starting a book club here's a couple of great titles: Sail Away, Big Little Lies, The Rosie Project. Try those.
