Discover Some History in Kojonup

Kojonup Shire CEO Rick Mitchell-Collins explains that there is more to Kojonup than meets the eye.

The Shire of Kojonup is located in the Great Southern region of WA, and is a great place to spend some time explains Shire CEO Rick Mitchell-Collins,

“When travelling to Kojonup don't regard us as a pit stop, regard us as a place where you can immerse yourself in the cultural and heritage”.

Kodja Place is a museum that tells the story of the local community. The history of the Noongar culture, and stories of the area’s English and Italian settlers are told through photographs, artworks and historical artefacts.

Kojonup offers visitors the opportunity to experience what life is like to live in a predominantly agricultural community. “We have the 'paddock to plate' approach, so if you're city-centric you will really immerse yourself in the rural lifestyle and quality of life that we offer”, says Rick.

“Call into Kojonup and experience the friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the facilities that we have here.”
