Visit the State’s Second City

Learn why the City of Bunbury is a great place to live, work and play.

Situated approximately 180km south of Perth, the City of Bunbury is usually bypassed by people who are travelling to the far south west of WA – but, by not stopping tourists are missing out on a lot, according to the City’s CEO, Mal Osborne.

“Bunbury is a great place to stay for a few days… you have the Dolphin Discovery Centre, you have the great beaches and the three waters being Koombana Bay, the Leschenault Inlet and the Indian Ocean.”

The Council has a plan in place to make the city as welcoming as possible, and this includes providing facilities and infrastructure that both residents and tourists can take advantage of,

“The City offers many significant pieces of infrastructure, which not only service Bunbury, but our greater region,” explains Mal. “We have the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre. We have the regional library services operating out of Bunbury, as well as our Southwest Sports Centre, which is the largest sporting facility in the southwest.”

Whether you’re interested in history and museums, native wildlife or art, the City of Bunbury has something for everyone, and Mal encourages you to discover it for yourself,

“You'll be really, really delighted with what you see, and if you haven't been here for a while, you'll even be more amazed at how Bunbury has transitioned with its cultural scene, its food scene, its retail scene and its visitor offerings.”
