Visit the last West Australian Inland Mission Hospital

Step back in time and discover what an early 20th century rural hospital was like, located in the Shire of Lake Grace.

Located in the small Wheatbelt town of Lake Grace, you’ll find the only remaining Western Australian Inland Mission Hospital, one of only three that still stand in Australia.

The man on the Australian $20 note, John Flynn, worked hard in establishing this chain of inland hospitals in Australia, improving the health care for those living in remote regional areas.
Visitors can head to Lake Grace’s Visitor Centre to request a tour, then step back in time to the early 20th century and discover what a rural hospital was like. Look at the old-style wards, kitchen, laundry and vintage medical equipment.
Next time you’re in the Shire of Lake Grace, stop in and take a look at this unique attraction.
