“If you haven't been to Toodyay before, please come. If you've been before, I'm sure you'll find is worth another visit.”

Located only 85kms from Perth, Toodyay is a great day-trip destination. With two museums, heritage and walking trails, an emu farm and plenty more, the Shire has a lot to offer tourists.

“Toodyay is a great place for heritage buildings, it's a great place for lifestyle, it's also a great place for events. If you look at our events calendar, you'll find, on any given weekend, there's bound to be something happening,” explains Stan.

With a population of less than 5000 the Shire has a strong community spirit, and the Council is eager to help local businesses succeed. Encouraging of seven-day trading, in late 2019 the Shire was awarded with a Bronze Medal for Excellence in Tourism Support.
