Community and infrastructure is what makes the Shire of Gnowangerup tick, explains Shire President Keith House.
Since becoming a councillor for the Shire of Gnowangerup 10 years ago, President Keith House has been involved in several infrastructure and community-focused projects.
“Our recent significant achievement has been acquitting and finalising the disaster relief funding for significant flood damage in the region, of $11 million,” he explains.
The Shire is made up of three townships and sits on the edge of the Stirling Ranges. President House knows the local community well, and describes it as “a passionate community, very diverse and it has something for everybody”. He encourages visitors to spend some time in the Shire when travelling in, or through, the Great Southern region of WA.
“When you're in the region, visit Gnowangerup Shire and enjoy the diversity of our three townships.”
