CEO Ben Rose talks about the many opportunities available in the Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup.
The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup is an easy drive from Perth, only two and a half hours away or approximately 30 minutes from Bunbury or Busselton.
Ben says the Shire is a fantastic place with something for everyone; ‘it has parks and natural landscapes, sporting facilities, tourism opportunities, business opportunities, and lifestyle opportunities,” he says.
“And we have a world-class apple fun park, which is the largest free fun park in Australia.”
The Council provides assistance in providing assets in terms of parks, roads, recreation and lifestyle infrastructure for people who live, work and visit; as well as a wonderful variety of wineries and eateries and cafes.
In addition, the Shire hosts, along with community groups, a wide variety of public events such as the Small Farm Field Day, the Apple Festival, and the Food and Wine Festival.
