Ride to Conquer Cancer in the Shire of Mundaring

Shire of Mundaring Planning Officer Liam Sexton shares his experiences of taking part in the 2018 Ride to Conquer Cancer.

Liam Sexton is a Planning Officer for the Shire of Mundaring, and today he is talking to us about the 2018 Ride to Conquer Cancer.

Liam became involved in the Ride when Kieran from the Harry Perkins Institute came to the Shire to talk to staff about the ride.

“He explained to us the ride details; what it's all about and what's going to be involved with our input. To be a part of the ride, all you need to do is go to the ride website which is cancer200.org.au. There's heaps of information on there you can read through and learn about the ride” says Liam.

“It's really not a hard thing to do this ride. All you need to do is get yourself started, get on a bike, you give yourself a couple of months of training, get a nice team around you to support you with the fundraising and it makes it a lot easier”.

We all know that cancer is one of those diseases that touches everybody in one way or another. If you want to be a part of this ride go to the cancer200.org.au website or speak to the Harry Perkins Institute for medical research.
