People Make Places in Narembeen

Shire of Narembeen CEO Chris Jackson talks about the attractions of the area and the community that makes it special.

My name's Chris Jackson and I'm the Chief Executive Officer of the Shire of Narembeen. Narembeen is a special place because of people. People make places.

We have wonderful facilities and we've been working very hard on them over the last five years.

Narembeen is blessed with wonderful recreational facilities including our new 5.6-million dollar Recreation Centre, which has bowls, football, everything you could ask for.

We have a wonderful swimming Aquatic Centre, we've recently built a brand new emergency services facility to support the whole community including people that visit our community.

The Council works very hard on making sure that we have good facilities such as public toilets, recreation areas that you can stop and sit under a tree and and/or a shelter.

Our roads are of a good standard and the Councillors work very hard at making sure that they support the community and particularly tourists too that come into our town with our caravan park which is always well utilised.

Many things to do when you get to Narembeen. One, you could visit the grain discovery centre which is located at the Roadhouse, we could go down to the Narembeen Hotel and have a feed and also catch up with some local people.

Whenever you're in the Wheatbelt, come to Narembeen with a visit; lots to do and see and we'd love to meet you.
