Ewe Turn in Northampton

Brenda Broadhurst talks about community arts project Ewe-Turn in Northampton.

Hi I'm Brenda Broadhurst, President of the Northampton Creative Obsessions Group in Northampton and I'm here to talk about the Ewe-Turn in Northampton project.

We started in 2016 when we wanted to create a community arts project to bring the group, the community together and we've got up to 60 models around town now, all decorated by locals in Northampton, where it involved everyone in the community.

So we've got the police sheep, there are ambulance sheep, we've got sheep up at the school that the students have done.

One of the schools has done one that's got all the footy colours and has all the local football players that are playing AFL on it and it's just ranged from amazing different things that people have decorated.

It's very different - everyone's done something very different.

As well as the ewes that we've got in town, we have also got a couple of dogs so they're keeping an eye on them and we've also got some of the ewes actually looking after their lambs as well.

Yes so next time you're in Northampton, take a break have a stop, check out our sheep, take a photo with them, do the walk trail and find out some of the more interesting places around Northampton while you do it.
