The Shire of Dalwallinu has plenty to offer tourists including wildflowers, walking trails and museums.
Have you heard of a place called Xantippe? If not, it may be time to head to the Shire of Dalwallinu and do some exploring!
Located around 250km from Perth, the Shire of Dalwallinu is easy to get to, according to Shire CEO, Jean Knight;
“People can access Dalwallinu on the Great Northern Highway... In addition to that, the Transperth bus comes through Dalwallinu twice a week.”
But apart from a place with the only ‘X’ name in Australia, what else is there for visitors to see and do? The Shire is “the gateway to the wildflowers” and there are plenty of walking trails to explore. Jean has some further suggestions for visitors too;
“We have an amazing Discovery Centre… [You] can visit the Wubin Wheatbin Museum. We also have a windmill museum.”
