Community Engagement a Draw for Bridgetown-Greenbushes President

President Cr Tony Pratico talks about his interest in community engagement and his role on Council at Bridgetown-Greenbushes.

Bridgetown-Greenbushes is approximately 268 km south of Perth and about 95km south of Bunbury, on the South Western Highway.

Tony says he first got involved in Local Government because he felt that he had an interest in community engagement and I felt he could represent our community.
“What I didn't expect when I got on to Local Government is the amount of work that Councillors are engaged and involved in with the Shire in that the community doesn't see,” he said.

“What's good about our community the number of volunteers who are engaged in our community and it is amazing to see all the things that wouldn't happen in our community if it wasn't for the
volunteers.”

Cr Pratico says the Council helps community by consulting and listening to the community's opinions and ideas.

“Next time you're passing through Bridgetown, I invite you to stop in and experience what Bridgetown has to offer.”
